New Series

My new series, “The Broken Chronicles” book one will be out in a couple of weeks. While still fiction and post apocalyptic, the main character has to deal with a very real case of post catastrophe PTSD. Of course when the world goes to hell it doesn’t help much for coping with his existing problems.

One of the things I’m doing is talking to many of my fellow veterans and incorporating their experiences into the series.

I hope everyone enjoys the new series, and if anyone has some service related PTSD experiences they want to share, please reach out.

Again thank you, take care and let me know what you think of the new series.

P.S. Book six of the Lone Star Odyssey series will be out soon. There will be at least one more book (7) after this one.

Been awhile

Hope this finds everyone doing well. A lot has happened since Jan 2025, but things are beginning to smooth out. I should have the first book of the new series out in a few days. I’m sure everyone will let me know what they think of it.

Book six of the Lone Star Odyssey will be out by the first week of September. Originally I planned this would be the last in this series, but it’s not, the story has a life of its own.

That’s really all I have for now. Be safe, be prepared, and be careful out there. S/F

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! Hope this finds everyone doing well as the year comes to an end. It’s been an interesting year to say the very least. Not as productive as I had hoped for, but it rarely is. I’m not going to re-cap everything that happened in 2024, but there are a few things that happened that could have long term affects in the coming months. Such as the re-election of President Trump and complete melt down of the far-left leaning media. Neither of these were shocks, but the magnitude was considerably larger than I think anyone predicted.

It just goes to show you what happens when the blue-collar members of our great nation say enough is enough. The next couple of months should be very interesting. We should be seeing some huge changes in the way our own government operates but also in how the US is viewed by the rest of the world.

The biggest changes we should see (very soon) is how we deal with immigration and illegal immigration. Of course, anything we do will create ripples across the rest of the world. Depending on how successful or unsuccessful we are will probably influence how our closest allies deal with their own problems with these sensitive issues.

Bottom line is that I agree with what President Theodore Roosevelt said way back in 1919 in a letter to the president of the American Defense Society that to be treated equally as an American “is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American . . .  There can be no divided allegiance here.”

Roosevelt added that “Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag . . .  We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language . . .  and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”

President Elect Trump has already drawn the line in the sand with Canada and Mexico. Additionally, the election is also contributing and, in some cases, having a direct effecton governments around the world. Since the election, we have seen the far-left governments of Germany, England, South Korea, and several others either fall or are being reset more towards the conservative voices.

Anyway, it should make for ‘interesting times’. Is that a good thing? Interesting times usually translates into troubled times. But as far as I’m concerned, we are in need of a shake up or wake up, whichever term you are more comfortable with. We need to return to a time where it’s okay to disagree and to have a conversation about why we disagree without someone being cancelled or called a racist or worse.

Okay, I’m getting off my soap box and back on track with the Christmas spirit. I was hoping to finish up book six in the Lone Star Odyssey series by Christmas, but unfortunately that is not going to happen. Between congressional hearings, contract mods, travel, and family, there just isn’t enough hours in a day for everything. I am pleased with what I have been able to do on book six and hope to being able to get quite a bit finished over the Christmas time off from work.

With all the excuses out of the way, I do want everyone to take a minute and go over any plans they have for the rest of December and January. These can be perilous times and please do have contingency plans in case of domestic issues. The potential is here for things to quickly get out of hand, and it could easily go either way. The holidays are always stressful, add in all the political stress, and we are sitting on a powder keg. This is perfectly safe, unless someone strikes a match, and let’s be honest, there are quite a few people out there, both internally and externally that don’t want peace.

With that said, have a great Christmas and a safe New Years. S/F David
