Lone Star Odyssey Series, Book 3

I know it has been awhile since I’ve been on here, but a lot has been going on in the world. But the good news is Book 3 of the series ‘Choices’ will be out in July. Our small group of travelers, led by Talon, are still dealing with the rescue of Diane and Billy from the FEMA camp. I’m not going to go any further then that, but trouble seems to find Talon no matter what he tries to do or who he meets. I’ll do my best to answer any questions anyone has about the equipment or methods in my books. Also, I still have a bunch of free copies of each of the books on Audible. Growing up in the Ozarks, David spent a great deal of his time growing up with his Grandfather, learning how to fish, hunt, and trap. Additionally, he learned many of the old skills such as how to hold a star drill (which by the way I would not do for anyone now that my Grandfather is gone), hack a rail road tie and how to make hand made shake shingles. Joining the Marine Corps (0341) at the age of 17, he enjoyed his time in the grunts, but switched over to Counterintelligence after picking up Sergeant. Staying with the USMC for just over 20 years, he retired in 1998 at the age of 38, attaining the rank of CWO-2. After retiring he has worked for a few different government agencies and as a contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan. Still active as a contractor, he enjoys writing in what spare time he can find, with his first published book coming out in May 2019, “Lone Star Odyssey”. His second book in the series should be out late fall 2019. Living in Texas with his wife and kids, most of his time outside of work is spent with his wife and kids, their horses and dogs, and with repairs around the ranch.

      1. Thank you so much! I appreciate it and can’t wait to listen to it! I’ve listen to books 1 and 2 three times so far. The details are very accurate. I was a Marine in infantry and Special Operations, out of all the doomsday books you really understand the reality and context of tactical situations. Your attention to detail is amazing. Even my kids enjoy the books, they would make comments like “Dad you’ve taught us that or told us this, etc”. So we can’t wait to dive in to book 3! Semper Fi brother!

  7. My husband and I drove from St.Louis to Key West with our RV and listened to the first two books in October. We leave for a Grand Canyon trip with our family late March. Hoping to listen to book 3 then 😉. Best Wishes!!

  10. Devil dog, I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed your books and the inspiration to do so much more to protect my family. Info and insight was spot on. I actually got my grown kids even the one in your field to get on board. I am awaiting the audible book 3 any idea when it hits? Oorah DD. Semper Fi outstanding job!!! I wish all of us Old Marines and These new Marines would take the time to learn

  11. Alright! Just read book 3 on audible in October. I’ve been waiting to read patiently to read or listen to it as so far your the only guy writing in a league I can relate too. Semper Fi brother. I wish we had served together but I’m an old guy and my son who served might have crossed paths at some point. Thx for what you do
