Just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone for their patience and support. Book 3 has taken much longer to finish than it should have. Some of the delay is completely my fault, but some has been caused by my day job and then of course we can never forget the impact of current events. I also want to remind everyone to please be careful and always maintain their situational awareness. We live in chaotic times and we can’t always rely on law enforcement to protect us. While the vast majority of our local law enforcement are truly dedicated and want to do nothing but do their duties to the best of their abilities, the current political attitude and “woke” policies have created an environment that have forced them to become completely reactive. I admire them for their hard and often dangerous work, but we must realize that they too have families to support and they have the right to go home at the end of their shift.

That said, it means we have to be prepared, vigilant and must always keep our heads on a swivel. The press isn’t helping with it’s constant distortion of reality. I am so sick and tried of hearing how the “right” is going to destroy democracy, when in fact it’s the “left” that constantly bring the violence.

All of us have the right and duty to vote and if you care about the future that our kids are going to have to live with, then get out there this fall.

Going to climb down off my box and again say thank you. I’m an indie publication so it means a lot to hear from everyone. I figure that I will keep at it as long as there are at least a few of you out there. S/F stay safe.

Growing up in the Ozarks, David spent a great deal of his time growing up with his Grandfather, learning how to fish, hunt, and trap. Additionally, he learned many of the old skills such as how to hold a star drill (which by the way I would not do for anyone now that my Grandfather is gone), hack a rail road tie and how to make hand made shake shingles. Joining the Marine Corps (0341) at the age of 17, he enjoyed his time in the grunts, but switched over to Counterintelligence after picking up Sergeant. Staying with the USMC for just over 20 years, he retired in 1998 at the age of 38, attaining the rank of CWO-2. After retiring he has worked for a few different government agencies and as a contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan. Still active as a contractor, he enjoys writing in what spare time he can find, with his first published book coming out in May 2019, “Lone Star Odyssey”. His second book in the series should be out late fall 2019. Living in Texas with his wife and kids, most of his time outside of work is spent with his wife and kids, their horses and dogs, and with repairs around the ranch.

  1. Good to hear from you, Sir. Is there any place I can buy the Kindle / online version already?

    Re situational awareness, hear hear. World is not getting less but more hectic. In Poland, 180 mikes from where I live, Russians are shelling the cities and civilians. We are lucky to be a part of NATO and close ally with US. Otherwise it would already be us fighting directly a full scale war. These days, we fight it by Ukrainian proxy, supporting them with assets, money and housing the millions of refugees.

    It doesn’t take much this localized engagement spills over the world.

    1. Hi s-leya-s, thanks for taking the time to ask. Book 3 is not out yet, I’m still editing and finishing up the last chapter or two. But I will definitely let everyone know the second it’s available on kindle and Amazon. It should hit Audible about 30 days after release on kindle. Please stay safe, and thank you and your fellow countrymen for their support of the Ukrainians in their fight for freedom. A lot of people just don’t understand that any war is brutal beyond description and destroys so many life’s and dreams, even when you are fighting for your freedom. S/F DKW

  3. I just want to say thank you. Just finished book two, audible, good fun listening to Talon and crew. Damn, things went to the crapper fast!

    Anyway thank you, if I can help in any way feel free. Not much on prepping and ground stuff, mostly Navy aviation then 28 yrs with Army aviation. Factory rep embedded with customers, mostly Army/National Guard, 82nd, S/N Carolina NG. And while very little help, couple years USMCR. Semper Fi, great stuff!
