Just wanted to check in with everyone and ask if anyone had any questions, or wanted to discuss anything from the first three books. Anything is fair game, that is about the books. I’m almost half way finished with the fourth in the series, and here is your chance to attempt to influence how the series ends up. Not saying I will do anything suggested but I will listen. Hope everyone is enjoying book three. Please let me know what you think. Stay safe. S/F

Growing up in the Ozarks, David spent a great deal of his time growing up with his Grandfather, learning how to fish, hunt, and trap. Additionally, he learned many of the old skills such as how to hold a star drill (which by the way I would not do for anyone now that my Grandfather is gone), hack a rail road tie and how to make hand made shake shingles. Joining the Marine Corps (0341) at the age of 17, he enjoyed his time in the grunts, but switched over to Counterintelligence after picking up Sergeant. Staying with the USMC for just over 20 years, he retired in 1998 at the age of 38, attaining the rank of CWO-2. After retiring he has worked for a few different government agencies and as a contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan. Still active as a contractor, he enjoys writing in what spare time he can find, with his first published book coming out in May 2019, “Lone Star Odyssey”. His second book in the series should be out late fall 2019. Living in Texas with his wife and kids, most of his time outside of work is spent with his wife and kids, their horses and dogs, and with repairs around the ranch. I’m about halfway thru book 3 on Audible. I love the storyline, but it’s dragging on and on. If book 4 was ready and waiting for me to jump right into as soon as I finish 3, it wouldn’t be a big deal.
BTW, I have all the Foxfire books in my library ready for shtf, now I’m gonna download them to an old Kindle and put them in a emp prof bag

I totally do understand your frustration. The wait for the next one won’t be long. I will have that one out in September, this September. The gap between two and three was way too much. Hopefully that never happens again.
Your ahead of me, on the foxfire books. My are on an old iPhone 6, but I will upgrade to an iPad as soon as one of the kids do. There is a wealth of knowledge there that could be the difference between surviving and thriving.

Sometimes I’m slow, I’m sure you were asking about book 4, not book 3. Book 4 will be named “Fates”. Sorry for the confusion on my end.

Okay, you asked.
My opinion!
Way too much description, recommendations, etc of equipment. Yes, each item is awesome, perfect for what you need. But under these circumstances, I don’t need the best and finest. Not looking for just any old thing obviously and if finest is available, fricking awesome.
Again, my opinion here, and maybe I am different from others.
As for the rest, just write faster.
Thanks for asking, great fun reading so far. And if ever looking for info/advise on the Apache Helicopter, I’m available. Not a pilot, but 28+ years as Boeing factory rep embedded with US, Singapore (based in Marana, AZ) and the Emirates AF in Abu Dhabi. Several times to Saudi, Kuwait and Iraq, plus Albania helping Gen Dick Cody get Apaches ready to support Kosavo fiasco back in 2000. Not a soldier, just civilian sharing tents, teaching aircraft maintenance to the troops. Thank you Dick Read
