What I like about this story is the realism of the encounters and outcomes. First getting outfitted with equipment found at any outdoor goods store and traveling by bicycle. Makes perfect sense. Crazy, backstabbing liberal women – check. Whining, entitled college students – check. Evil, corrupt, domineering government bureaucrats with guns – check. Good guys using tactical common sense and adapting – also what is reasonable to expect in the aftermath of an attack. The ball busting banter also reads authentic. Very entertaining.

Stumbled on your books awhile back, have thoroughly enjoyed them both kindle and audio.
Talon is a true warrior in all meanings of the word. Physically, for his age, mentally and training, he is up to the job.
Your stories are well written, with detail to individuals, equipment and locations. It is a pleasure reading, please keep writing, faster! I NEED MORE GOOD READING MATERIALS.

I’ve enjoyed all of the stories so far, but Wilson has found his groove with this latest story in his post-apocalyptic series. This one moves better than the previous stories and the subplots are better connected. Talon, former Marine and intelligence officer was stuck in Washington DC after an EMP and is trying to survive the journey home. The details are crisp, the survival info is good and the dialougue continues to improve. Good job, Mr Wilson
this book describes something that could happen any day now and most people dont have a clue.

The story line is very good although sometimes descriptions go into too much detail. A very good read. Looking forward to the next chapter in Talons story.

I have loved this series from the beginning and this book does not disappoint. Talon is a hero and not afraid to do the hard things with his wife beong the same. Two strong characters make for a great read.

Excellent installment. Ended to quickly, left me hanging lol. Kept me involved . Hopefully, the next book won’t take too long.
