Growing up in the Ozarks, David spent a great deal of his time growing up with his Grandfather, learning how to fish, hunt, and trap. Additionally, he learned many of the old skills such as how to hold a star drill (which by the way I would not do for anyone now that my Grandfather is gone), hack a rail road tie and how to make hand made shake shingles. Joining the Marine Corps (0341) at the age of 17, he enjoyed his time in the grunts, but switched over to Counterintelligence after picking up Sergeant. Staying with the USMC for just over 20 years, he retired in 1998 at the age of 38, attaining the rank of CWO-2. After retiring he has worked for a few different government agencies and as a contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan. Still active as a contractor, he enjoys writing in what spare time he can find, with his first published book coming out in May 2019, “Lone Star Odyssey”. His second book in the series should be out late fall 2019. Living in Texas with his wife and kids, most of his time outside of work is spent with his wife and kids, their horses and dogs, and with repairs around the ranch. First, let me thank you for your service to this country of ours. I appreciate you trying to help some of us with this series. It is totally enjoyable. One of my roles as a gov’t contractor I review many documents and get involved in the copy/editing role.I’m your current book I have found a few errors you may want to address. P. 42 – a hot droplet on the “skittle”P. 79 – Matt “chinged” and gruntedP. 88 – she went to the “panty”P. 161 – one of the spots we have been “sitting” up Please don’t take this as being critical of your series. I have enjoyed reading and normally read them several times to help my survivability for the upcoming events. Looking forward to the next book. A fan,Don Nixon

Another question, you mention Talon nudging his black horse with spurs before they enter the railroad tunnel. What type of boots is he wearing? Just noticed the typo in my first email. I hate autocorrect.Don

He is still wearing his Lowa’s. Spurs work just fine with them. Know that from experience in Afghanistan

Thanks for the fixes. Really do appreciate the catches. I agree on the auto correct. I already made the corrections and updated Kindle, the paperback, and hardcover
